Welcome to Gondar on the Move!
Gondar on the move wants to bring the local youth in Gondar, a city in the North of Ethiopia into motion. By providing training that meets their needs and those of the local market and by supporting them in finding a job or starting their own private business.
Gondar on the Move is based on exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of vocational training. Ethiopian and Dutch teachers, trainers, experts and organizations work together and exchange knowledge, experience and expertise. Support is most effective when it matches the needs of the local stakeholders and aligns with their opportunities. Additionally local ownership of the project and its strategies is key to successful implementation. Our aim is to deliver tailor made strategies, training and support so on order to equip our local stakeholders with the necessary competences to continue the work after this project has ended by December 2011.
We closely work with a variety of partners in the Netherlands and Ethiopia, who all give, a valuable contribution to the project and its goals based on their expertise and experience. Our cooperation is built on mutual trust and respect.
